Today, we launched a huge update to the administration tools. Using a Flex frontend that calls specific web services, we are able to rapidly improve the interface based on user feedback making it more intuitive every day. Our goal is to make it dead simple for a content manager to jump into the admin site, upload and encode media and organize it for their intended audience. The new features include an asynchronous video encoder, streamlined upload tools and even more drag-and-drop controls. We pulled in new folder and file type icons as well as the ability to include targeted advertising overlays.

It doesn’t matter what your story is about, this is one heck of a way to get the word out. Techies can give video product walkthroughs along with illustrations, code samples, shopping links and comments. Artists can show concert videos along with posters, lyrics, audio clips, band info and links to buy merchandise. Companies can share all kinds of file types with control over the source media files and assurance that only approved eyes are viewing.
Mediasode is a cloud-based system that has unlimited potential for delivering synchronized, relevant content to the masses. The current system has two primary components: a proprietary player that can be embedded into any website and a flexible administration interface for uploading, managing and sharing many media types.
Our player is on its 4th iteration of improvements and now allows embedded advertising zones as well as a carousel of related media. Standard media controls are working well and we are now working on additional file type support as well as a smoking hot full-screen interface.
